Keeping Fish

I've been gone for a while and haven't gotten a chance to check up on the fish at home. I'm a little nervous about some of the goldfish with wounds from the heron attack since I was target feeding them and some weren't looking so good. Some of the breeder guppies were also a bit sickly looking.

Leaf, there's a nice black halfmoon female betta on ebay for about forty bucks including shipping, within the U.S. She looks melano though, so she might be infertile... if she isn't melano, she might be something to consider. I don't think I'll be breeding my black male bettas, since pet stores don't give you their age or genetic background. If you aren't interested in the ebay female I'll see what I can do on my end

Thank you for telling me! I will check it out as soon as I can. I don't think I can add anymore fish right now though. I have way too many tanks to maintain right now with the added work of the three Bettas. I clean twice a month, every two weeks, for the bigger tanks and once a week for the Bettas, so I am starting to scale back on extra tanks. If I ever do have extra space I will definitely consider it. Thanks again! :)

No sunfish yet, but I did lose a nice Molly while I was out of town. We did get a nice flower in the tank again from one of our plants. It's really rewarding to see how healthy everything seems. I haven't checked on the injured goldfish outside yet, so that remains to be seen. :caf
