Keeping Roosters That Others Hate

Be nice now. They also said they don’t want to get rid of them. I wouldn’t either. Stray dogs are a dime a dozen too. Some of us don’t care.
No one would care until some horse boarder brought a little kid over who would be curious about the chickens and ended up catching a spur in the eye. Keeping any human-aggressive animal isn't the best decision, especially if you open your property to the public. The OP may think they've been trained, but if they go after their customers, there's no reason they won't go after OP as well with time.

Stray dogs are one thing. But there's a reason why many stray dogs (or any dogs) that attack humans usually end up euthanized. Similar situation here.

OP never claimed they were trained to anyone but themselves. No most dogs who attack humans are not euthanized. Just the ones that are biggest. I am not wanting to be combative, but OP asked, “Our roosters can't keep attacking our boarders and we DO NOT want to get rid of them. Please help!!!”. So telling them, their Roos are worthless and to kill or get rid of them doesn’t seem to meet their request. I’m only asking people to be considerate of each other.

Dogs who cause significant injury to a person are commonly euthanized. A full grown rooster with inch long spurs is perfectly capable of causing significant injury to a person--particularly a child. No one here is trying to be combative, but merely pointing out the elephant in the room. The OP came here looking for advice. Just because the advice may not have been exactly what was desired, doesn't make people unsympathetic or inconsiderate. Many people here speak from experience. It may sound harsh, but owning any type of livestock isn't all fun and games. Good flock management is weeding out anything undesirable. Over-aggression is undesirable.

A mean bird isn't worth risking a business or livelihood and certainly not worth risking the health and safety of a person.

I don’t see an end where this is pleasant. Big dogs who attack children, regardless of reason are sometimes euthanized. I want you and others to be considerate of the OP and their feelings towards the pet they care about. I said “I” didn’t want to be combative, because I don’t. But it seems clear that regardless of any sense or caring in my words you intend to continue to dig your heals in. Unfortunately, I still don’t see how this tangent is helping the OP to achieve what they actually asked for. Which was a solution that helps them to keep their pets while keeping others safe. It seems that reasonable precautions are plenty to achieve that. No one, not the OP, nor myself suggested to let children play with territorial animals. Butterflies and rainbows!

You missed the point regarding the "training".......op has trained the birds to behave thos way through their interactions with the birds, not all training is intentional, but it is training just the same. Most unwanted behavior is behavior that has been inadvertently trained for (regardless of species, including humans)

Thank you for clarifying, I understood clearly. My objection was never about training but about how some could be kinder.

Sometimes more is said when less is said. When many opinions given then making so the dissenting is heard may require bluntness. Empathy on such issues as this is not always well placed. For me it is the visiting humans and roosters that need protection as they are not represented in the thread as anything beyond third parties.

Agree to disagree then :)
