I have a keet that was apparent to have a splayed leg by the beginning of day 2. I have treated that (bandaid was on for over 48hrs) but now I've noticed she's been walking in her hocks too.
I've found threds that said she needed vitamin b, as it could be a deficiency.
I have sav-a-chick and poultry vitamins from tractor supply, as well as nutri-drench (but I don't think that has vitamin b?).
How much should I be giving her a day, which one should I be giving her, And how many times a day?
I already mixed the vitamins in the water in my brooder box for the rest of my keets as well
She'll be a week old on Tuesday.

It may not be splayed leg but rather slipped tendons.

You can add a half capsule of a quality B complex vitamin to one gallon of water. Do not mix anything else in the water. It must be made fresh daily. It can be given to all of the keets as their only source of water.

How long does it take for them to respond to the vitamins? I now have another keet that had no issues at all walking on its hocks too :hit
I have since added the vitamins to their water supply but don't know if those who are walking on their hocks are drinking the water. I have seen the others drinking the water already though.

Turkey starter, mill date was only a week old when I got it last week when the little guys started hatching.
We got our adult guineas a year ago already in mated pairs.
And now one that hatched early this morning has a cross beak starting.
I'm starting to think the parents are inbred :he:barnie

When the issue is known to not be feed, the parents are often the problem either through their nutrition or being too closely related.

The B complex vitamin treatment in at least the case of one turkey poult started showing some improvement after just a few days.

I'm putting vitamins in the water at all times now, especially since more babies are hatching today as well. I'm just hoping the vitamins help and are just what they need to stop walking on their hocks. Breaks my heart. This is my first hatch ever. I'm starting to think I need to get some brand new keets that aren't related in case we decide to hatch again....

If the hocks are swelled, it is most likely perosis which is due to a niacin deficiency.
