Kentucky people

I am near Somerset, KY and have seen minor frost bite on my Jersey Giant roosters but had a pretty bad case on my light sussex roo. His comb is much bigger than the giant's. He looks like he will loose all the points on his comb.;(

Anyone near South Central ky/Wayne County have any fertile hatching eggs to sell? I just bought some from a BYC member and would like others to go along with them. I would like any breed except Rhode Island Red, Production red, Golden Star, Brown Leghorn, White Leghorn, Buff Brahma, Silkies.

Would really love any cochins or any wyandotte. Anything laced. Anything black, blue or lavender. I am trying to add some color to my flock.

We are in Lexington
We have 20 hens of vary breeds. We are getting 6-9 eggs in this very, very, cold weather. No lights, and we know that the 2 EE are not laying (no beautiful blue/green eggs).

I sell hatching eggs for Jersey Giants, Wunjo. Mine are blue, black, and splash. Just now getting my breeding pens set up. Fertility will get better in a couple of months if you are interested.

Heard these were good winter layers. Do they lay usually lay in the winter when others are not? What is the price per dozen? I could easily meet in Somerset or Nancy.

My hens are laying great, by far this is my favorite breed. Yesterday I collected 16 eggs out of 23 hens. I like this breed because they are big, hearty, and productive. Very gentle roosters, hens are great mothers, had 6 go broody last summer. I get $20 a dozen. I have 4 lines in my stock, Maria's Jersey Giants in IN, Wynette Adamson in MI, Kym Cooper in TX, and a group from a breeder in FL (sorry don't have her name). Be happy to let you know how the fertility looks after I do a test hatch next month. -Melissa

try Fred under heritage RIRs (Breeders, Genetics section), I know you said no RIR but he has Barred Rock, His son has a farm in Casey Co. His heritage Barred Rock eggs go for 2.50 each I believe

does anyone know why I would get some of the post off Kentucky people sent to me and not others? I occasionally get one and go to this site to read and see others i haven't gotten.
