Well, all I really want are three, a male and two females - and if that doesn't work (cause of mating), then two, a pair of them. I don't want a lot, because hubby is gonna freak as it is
.
Now if we order now, they won't come til spring, right? I seriously can't have geese in my house for that long
.
I could get past him with a pair of them, though, if they come in the spring. Plus, come spring I can take the guineas to the auction, and have that noise gone - so he might not mind two geese.
When they are old enough to go outside, I plan to brood them in the barn, so they know to go back there to sleep at night when they get older.
Oh, and I found an old vinyl tablecloth I can put under the chick cage, and then put hay in each cage, so I may have solved the puppy pad eating and shredding problem
I'll fix it tomorrow, I got to go to bed tonight.
btw - those buttons eat a lot!!
They've gone through almost 3/4 of a cup of food already. No wonder they've doubled in size since they were born.
Oh, and here's a tip for you all - if you gather eggs and put them in your coat pocket, don't forget to take them out and put them in the fridge.
I climbed into my truck tonight, and felt some resistance when I slid under the steering wheel - put my hand in my pocket and felt a crushed egg.
the coat is currently in the dryer, hopefully it'll be dry by tomorrow morning when I have to do chores.
night all -
