Cindy wants some of those sebastols (however ya spell it). Cindy would LOVE some geese - she has lots of room, and she simply LOVES to build more coops.....

right Cindy?

Cindy doesn't have a pond for geese...They'd end up flying to the big one down the road and I don't think those folks would appreciate that...

Technically, they wouldn't have to have a pond...and you could always clip their wings so they couldn't fly off!!

Meri doesn't have a pond, either, but I hear that geese aren't as into the pond thing as ducks are. I'm thinking a wading pool down in the pasture will make them happy.

(at least I hope so - the donkeys will be put out if they use the water troughs

WOW!! do you guys hear that wind out there?

Maybe Miss Celie knew what was coming tonight when she decided to go inside the coop

Good thing she did go in, or I'd be looking for her in the next county tomorrow.

I'm sorry! My brooders are cardboard boxes and styrofoam coolers, so you did way better than me!!! I'm lazy so I would have definitely done the sheet thing!

I wanted to be able to see down inside, and put the light on the top of it - plus, I like to hang out in there and just watch them

, I'm obsessed - so had to have something see through.

Toby likes it, too - he lays in there and watches them while they play. He is such a weird chicken dog.

I did better than almost all my broodies this summer, but the last month or so I haven't hatched hardly any chickens in the house. Idk what the deal is, it seems like my temp is too low. So now I get to try and figure out how to calibrate a digital thermometer.

Does it have feathered legs, could be a darker Millie? Some of them start with a good deep mahogany, I just didn't think mine would because they are more the buff color. Only bantam roos I had at that time were BTB Jap, BTB Dutch, Blue Silkie, and White Cochin bantam...Mother maybe could have been the Partridge Cochin(she just start laying some time recently). Or it could be a new Large fowl layer, maybe Nutmeg the Buckeye....

Give it a couple of days to adjust and then get it out and check it over real good.
And take some pics for us!!!
