his one day off all week.

Hmmm, let me think on if I need to go into town or not tomorrow (I try to avoid it when Jon doesn't work, so I can save on gas).

I'll get back to ya on it before the day is out.

I miss him, he was a hoot.

) It is easier for me to make trips to town (unless Jon works) in the morning than in the afternoon.

let me know which one ya prefer.

Just ordered another Genesis 1588.
You can order an attachment for 12.95 Power supply and cable clamps it hooks up to a 12 volt battery and will keep your bator going for 3 days in a power failure!!!!!!!!
Why no one thought of that before is beyond me, Im sure with some of the big bators there are backup systems.
I plan on hatching out this winter everything my Cochins lay and needed a good hatcher.
Anyone else have one ?

My mom was baely 5'2" and she was on the plump side, but my dad always referred to her shape as pleasingly pump and lovingly round.

I saw a webpage on the construction of 'Matilda", a stryobator, that had instructions on how to redo it to plug in to your car's cigarette lighter. I am thinking of getting a Genesis this spring, but I'll have to wait and see how everything else turns out.

I have an LG still air, and a homemade one - after hubby helped make the homemade one, I doubt he'll buy me another one - although he is already considering building me a bigger one (and using the same basic theory to build himself a cigar humidor - without the light, of course

Ms. Lewis Rich :

The Genesis also has the attachment for a cig. lighter to transport eggs I guess I couldnt see that I would ever need that.

I was thinking along the lines of if the power went out, you could always put it in your car and use that power source. It would help in a pinch, that's for sure. You would just need to start your car periodically to keep the battery charged. But either one would be a great investment, especially if the eggs you are incubating are expensive. Most of mine have been from my own birds, so I haven't had any power outtages

I'm sure as soon as I get some marans or BLRW eggs in there I'll have all sorts of problems! (edited to add hint, hint

Yeah you haven't said anything about the homemade hatcher in a while. How's it working? Sounds like it's working pretty good if hubby wants to make more! You'll have to let me know how you rigged it up, so I can make tons of them to take to Sano!
How are your new girls doing? You have just left us hanging about everything!!! I think I remember you saying something about pictures, but I have yet to see any!

Ok. I got another email from the people at metzer. The minimum of $30 is only if you order less than the minimum # of birds, so say if you order 2 goslings @ $9 each, you would have to pay $30 plus shipping regardless. So the goslings, if we get an order of 8 or more (which we have atm) would be the price per bird. The lady also said the total shipping is only about $10-$15. So that's not bad at all!!

So Meri and FrChuckW: Let me know for sure how many, what breed and what sex you guys want. Remember they add $1.25 per bird for sexing, and the birds with an * after the name can only be ordered in pairs or as straight run (meaning as hatched).

ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED IN GETTING GOSLINGS FROM METZER FARMS IN MARCH??
