Sorry!! I was reading a cat thread, and reminiscing on my poor babies I had to leave behind...

I think we have finally gotten rid of our mice problem, I haven't seen any in a month or so. Just the occasional chick running across the floor.

Did I tell you one of my baby buttons was in my room the other day? Cris found it. Slick little suckers, I think it's the same one, has figured if it jumps right it can go right through the wire on top of the box!

I'll have to give ya some hardware cloth for that box. I got a lot of it leftover, I can spare some.

Speaking of buttons, I'll have to get some new pics of them - they get more feathers every day, it seems. Two of them look silvery, but one is a bit darker than the other.

They are really exploring a lot more, lately, too.

Me and dad almost had a knock-down-drag-out tonight. He has decided it is ok to hit Cristian if he doesn't listen to him, and I have decided that my dad is an idiot!! I think I may have to move, if I can't get a trailer or something out here. It is just too much drama. I have enough problems without having to deal with an a-hole all the time. His way of making kids listen is to beat it into them. I don't want that for my kid. I had to live through that myself. Then dad wants to try and tell me how to raise my kid?? Like he is such an expert!! He gets mad over the stupidest things!! Cris just turned 4 about a month ago. The other day when Cris was putting the candy canes on the tree, he dropped one and it fell under the table. Dad was yelling at him where it was. What an idiot!! Cris is barely 4 years old!!! He doesn't understand 'under' and 'behind' very well. And do you think dad would apologize??? I think I would have a heart attack if he ever did! I don't think he knows how!

The red ones that I kept are looking spotted. They have red and white speckled feathers! They will be very pretty when they get bigger!

Both my adult button and the A&M that shares his tank were out this morning, think I forgot to mention that as well. They have a window screen on top of their tank with an ice cream bucket of feed sitting on top to keep it down. Well, the bucket was a bit low, so one of them (probably the A&M) 'popped' up and knocked the top off!! They were having a ball, running all around that room!

Where did you get 2 cochin eggs from? If the hatcher isn't working right, just leave the cochin eggs in the bator with the orps, it can't be any worse.

Cindy brought them to me after Thanksgiving - the lady only had two of them.

they are bantam cochins, I know one is good, not sure on the other one - need to candle again.

Wow, those two would create some interesting looking birds, that's for sure! I didn't know there was a red cochin, I thought there was just buff. There are a lot of different colors in those little guys isn't there?
