Speaking of Australorps, ours laid her first egg today...At least I assume it is her because her comb and wattles are the prettiest bold red right now and she has been going in an out of the coop looking for something for a week now. Now to wait for the Buckeye to start. Her face is starting to redden but not as bold as Sheilas yet. I cooked her egg tonight for the chickies in the brooder, it wasn't fertile yet, haven't seen Raoul do anything but flirt yet either. The chickies just ignored the egg and walked over to get to the feeder that I had just placed feed in... Oh well, maybe it's a sign I won't have egg eaters.

I cut the hatch door finally and put the 3 favs, the Shelley chicks(I've really got to name these two), and cheepers in it. The first things the Favs did was burrow into the fluffy soft shavings. And one decided to take a shavings bath right next to the water so had to raise it up a block.

Meri, now that there are recipes for those chicken block things you can make your own and it won't be as costly as having to order them. Cool huh, gonna try it.

Well, looks like I'm fashionably late again. And guess what? We got back after 6 pm, so dad said he's not going to church

That sucks. One of the only two nights we get rid of him, and he decides not to go. Cause he'll be late...boohoo. It goes till at least 8:30, if not 9 or later. I don't think being 30 minutes late is really gonna matter that much!

He was out by 8:30 tonight. He came downstairs yesterday and said to me that he doesn't see the big hype about this board and I reminded him that it wasn't a game just reading and chatting...He is so antsy that he couldn't stand the wait for replies... I just laughed because I knew he'd do this, he just had to see for himself.

The doc gave him a prescription for some kind of hyperactivity meds. I can't remember the name of it. The pharmacy doesn't have it in stock, and they won't get it till Thursday. They said it's a 'controlled substance' and they don't normally carry those? Since when are ADHD meds controlled? That's a new one to me. But my other boys were put on it after they were taken from me, so they might all be controlled, who knows.

Tell Layne if he gets tired of waiting for replies he needs to be on here all the time and post LOTS so he will get a bunch of responses and won't have to wait. And with his busy little mind, he should be able to keep up with the chatter!

The meds are controlled because for people who are not ADHD it has the opposite effect and gives them a high like speed, so it has to be monitored because it can be sold on the street...More than likely the Dr office will have to write you a knew script every month for it. Is it a pill or a patch? It might be the new one Vyvanse, that is what Layne is on now. The doc was so relieved to find Layne had gained enough weight that he could up Laynes dose. The patch is Daytrana, I really liked it but like every other med after a while Layne builds resistance so have to change...Luckily by the time to change a new med would be out on the market.
