I'm thinking of having hubby build me a duck/goose house (or two)before I get the geese here, too. It's so muddy out, I can't do much else on the lean-to or the fence, so I may as well keep him busy with poultry related items

You can always send him over here to build stuff

I need lots of things built!!

$200 just for chickens?? You'll be able to get a lot with that! They have all sorts of building materials there too

Oh, btw, I was talking to the guy who bought my guineas - the two that escaped the dogs are still hanging out, they just won't come nearer than the pasture

, so he has two of them still.

He still wants more of them, I'll tell him about yours, Bluedog, and see if he's interested in driving that far. He wants full grown ones, not babies who haven't ever been out, and that's what you have.
(you do mean the ones we saw there in with the leghorns, right?)

I just candled my silkie eggs. Let's say it is disappointing. Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll send me some freebies. None of the buffs are developing at all as far as I can tell. They are on day 8ish, so I should be able to see something. I think the majority of the ones that are developing are the cuckoos, which are ones I'm not even sure I want

Gonna go email the seller I guess.

I'm awake... I think....

I walked outside this morning and it is "snowing" sort of, little light misty type of flakes - Lily loves winter, so she is excited,

. The poor dog misses deep snow, she used to plow through it face first and roll around in the stuff. Toby, on the other hand, walked out and looked at it snowing, then climbed into a chair on the porch to wait for me to get done with chores so he could go back into the nice warm house

.

At least the wind isn't blowing 20 mph today

I have a pair of pharoahs, but no more white ones right now. I have some baby jumbos but they are too little to sex yet. I could bring the pharoahs if you would like. I had 3 of them, but one of my hens disappeared. It's better to have about 4 or 5 females to one male though. But all I have in adults is one pair of pharoahs (normal browns).
