And like mojo said, we talk a LOT on this thread...I hope you're good with your computer! You and your refresh button will become great friends! I think we all need to sign up for msn or yahoo messenger, it would be sooo much easier! But then we wouldn't be #1 in posts then, would we?

Bluerooster, Blackrooster and Fishmesser. Feel free to jump in and join the conversation.

Well gang I'm now on Day 22 with 42 eggs in one bator and 28 eggs in the other, and no pips, squeeks, squawks, peeps, nothing. Looks like I'm not meant to hatch eggs artificially!

Oh btw - I have not seen Jr. all day - and I haven't had any eggs from her in few days - I know she sometimes sleeps under the house, I wonder if she's sitting on eggs under there. She had been laying in the coop - but not this week at all.

Oh, and I found 5 eggs in that dang duckhouse

stoop!d chickens been laying in there, and I never thought to look. It's been Shug, mostly (like mother like daughter, I guess) and one other hen.

No wonder I haven't had as many eggs lately. That explains George's coop - still doesn't explain Mr. Speckles's coop.

Oh and the girls found a few mice today - it was like the Super Bowl playing out in the Donkey Pasture

.

The ducks love their new coop (all to themselves, well, them and the quail). Before I was even done working in there, they came in and claimed it. I put down some fresh bedding for them, and the big waterer and their food. Now I got plenty of room for the new ones coming tomorrow, and they won't be messing up the chicken coop so badly.

I was afraid I'd have to talk them into using that coop - but they wouldn't leave and get out of my way while I was putting up the quail cage. I'm happy I didn't have to try to chase them in.

Oh and Jon is off tomorrow, so no worries on time-frame getting home as much.

I bet she is setting, she's gonna show you how it's done!!

There is a bit of a time restraint for me, since Cris gets home from school around 3:15. Dad's here, but I'm not sure I trust him to remember to get Cris off the bus!

Maybe I'll just let him skip school tomorrow? It's not like he has to go, but I need a break!

It's the time of year, probably - so far I only have 5 out of something like 27 total eggs - I am hoping for more hatches, but no pips right now. The ones that have hatched (well, except one) have been pip-zip-hatch in a matter of moments, almost - those babies have been popping out fast this time. I think the eggshells aren't as thick - I need to get some oyster shell out to the hens - I thought I had some, but I went looking today and didn't see it, just grit, so I'll have to pick some up tomorrow at Day & Day too.

wow, almost 9 oclock - I better go turn off lights in the coop - be back in a bit...
