I am short on Barred Rocks - but for Cindy - yeah, you can get one
Anyone else - sorry I'm hoarding BR's at the moment
If BC hadn't of integrated and started to fit in so well, I'd let ya have her - but I think it would traumatize the poor baby if she was moved again. She is so sensitive sometimes!! She even hangs out with Miss Celie - the anti-social hen!! I'm amazed Miss Celie likes her so well (since she doesn't like any other chicken much) - maybe it's a BR thing
. But, I have a pullet that'll be about 4 months old by the time ya get here to take her home with ya.
I'll save the BA pullets for your friend, too. I'll just move them out of the brooder coop into the other coop (with my keepers). I have (I think) three of those - maybe four.
Plus I have lots of pretty mutts, if they want more than the BA.
Other than that, I am about plumb out of pure breds for sale. (Unless we're talking cockerels
still have a few of those). Oh, I do have some Columbian Rocks, though (both pullet and cockerel) - they're about two months old right now. (and I have those Golden Comet pullets.)
I think that once I get the BR flock going, I may try to coax BC into joining them - since her Mama and Daddy were so beautiful, I'd love to get some pure bred babies out of her. (she is lovely - can't wait til ya see her now since she started laying - she is so fat and dark and her pattern is wonderful.)
Well, I'm off to Wally World this morning - need diet coke and toilet paper - that staples of life
meri
Marianne and Bill aren't picky about breeds, they just LOVE chickens period...Doesn't matter what kind. If I'm not wrong I think they ended up with 3 actual pairs from the total of chickens I got them from Shelley.
Thanks for holding the babies for us. Cortni was excited, Layne was worried he won't get a dog now...BTW Shelley Ron may still let him bring the girly home one of our trips, but if you find a home before that I won't be hurt about it...
