Kentucky people

Well, it's finally over, almost anyways. Since no one got here when they said they were going to yesterday, me and dad are stuck with the headstone ourselves. That should be interesting. One of my dad's sisters is staying in Columbia tonight, so we have to meet her in town tomorrow for lunch before they head back to Indiana. But after that, life will be almost back to normal. Almost....

I guess you could come

Sydney's isn't far from me - it's like driving to Columbia from my house, only the other way.

So we could duct tape the TV to the wall, and give your hubby less to worry about?

We'd just leave him outside with Toby, hopefully they'd wear each other out!

Oh, that would be good, maybe she'd come get me on her way, so we wouldn't have to listen to dad

And she'd have Layne, so he could keep Cris busy. He likes the little stinker

Actually, Sydney's would be good, because my chickens go everywhere (and the ducks and geese, too - they've decided they like to hang out at the bottom of the steps and poop there

)

Sydney has this great pasture that hers stay in... usually

We could possibly have a poo free meal

My ducks and geese (and the chickens) all hung out right at the bottom of the steps today - the baby ducks were sleeping under my truck, and the adults were billing all the dirt out of one of my tomato plants (the stinkers!!)

After I finally got them all in for the night (only DD and Little Joe were a problem) I came back to the porch and noticed all the poo everywhere - it was like walking through a mine field. I'll have to get the hose out tomorrow unless it rains tonight.

A friend of mine in Florida had a similar problem, though hers would come on the porch. And of course, the porch was covered....She finally got smart and penned the ducks up

Mine are getting to where they come to the yard all the time. They have found the chickens feed, so even when I feed them at the pond, they still come up here and eat. I have to change waters at least twice a day cause the ducks make a mess of it. The poor chickens act so grateful when I dump the brown water out. My little jap roo was walking around the bucket (ice cream bucket) the other day once I refilled it. I guess since the water was clean, he couldn't tell there was anything in it!

the ducks and geese haven't come up the stairs yet (not sure they can) but the chickens do. I caught Fluffy and Gump today trying to sneak past Toby - they were almost to the front door.

The australorps come up onto the porch on a regular basis - they just expect that if their heads pop up and I happen to be there, they'll get treats. I've had to make them only get treats every other day - they are all getting fat - even George and he is a small roo.
