Doesn't matter as long as I can afford it.

ETA: Wait that could mean trouble...Maybe 4-6 okay?

ok, how does 4 bucks each sound? (on yours, too)

Usually home sales I do 5 bucks each, but I've been selling em on Craigslist for 4 each, so I wouldn't charge you guys more

that would be rude.

Plus, most of the girls I have right now are younger ones - maybe 3 - 4 months old. The cochin and BA are 4.5 months old - I think they are the oldest ones I have right now.

Sounds fair to me, just PM me an appx total.

Ok, Moonflowers said she got Feathers from Healthy Chicks and More - so I went to their site and I am amazed.

If I am reading correctly, they do not charge for shipping, you can order as few as 10 chicks, and there is just a 5 dollar box order added to it - all chicks are $3.75 each.

They also have ducks and game birds and bb turkeys.

I know who I'll be ordering from next spring if this is the case. They do still have a few chicks this year - much is sold out, but they have BO and BR yet, if anyone wants those breeds (and a few others).

Looks like they have...

BO, BR, auracanas (probably EE), golden comets, RIR, and cornish cross. Those are just what they have available still this year. They also carry cochins, leghorn, wyandotte, brahmas, etc...

if it's free shipping, then this is the best deal I've seen yet.

hmmm... they have blue cochins.... (not now, but next spring they will have)

I called that woman about the 2 guinea keets, she wants me to keep them until they don't need a light anymore. No biggie, I have 5 others that I am keeping, so these 2 won't take up anymore room.

I got me some lavenders!!

Hopefully nothing will happen to these like it did with the ones I had last fall

So right now I have 7 buff dundotte guineas and 5 lavender guineas, plus the 2 pearls. I don't like pearls, they are too 'ordinary'.

Still trying to find a ride into town.....Not looking good. Of course, everyone that says "give me a call if you need a ride" is either not home or just not answering....

I guess Cristian will get to sleep in the bathtub tonight, cause he ain't peeing in my bed anymore!!

Cindy~~So, I owe you the red pullet and the red-white&blue EE pullet, was there any others? I'll have to catch them the night before you come, you remember how much fun it was last time!
gig.gif
Oh, and you already gave me money for feed, remember?

I need to get rid of some EE and lakenvelder roos, I wish the roos weren't so mean!! One of those EE roos is very pretty! And I think the white one is a roo as well, but I don't need all these roos. Cindy, you'll have to look at them when you come here and see if you can tell for sure, but I'm 95% sure that the red-white&blue and the rumpless are the only girls

I think my hen Gertie has some babies, she is very grouchy today! They aren't due until tomorrow or Tuesday, but with this heat who knows?

I had considered getting a few guinea keets to raise up just to sell, just not sure if they'd be worth the trouble.

shelley - check your PM

Got it

I think guineas would be more profitable if you were to get eggs, then sell the babies early on. They bring a lot more than chickens do usually, but still, their prices don't go up that much. They still have to eat.

You could always get a few females and a male, then you'd have your own to get eggs from. You wouldn't have to put them with the chickens, just get hubby to make another coop

Yeah, I'd be afraid of getting stuck with the nasty things

I guess I'll decide next spring after I get the breeder flocks going. Then I'll have a better idea of what I can handle (with the cows coming and all - I'll have more chores to do and more to keep track of.)

I posted a wueestion asking if anybody knew whre the Mayfield flea market was. Actually the Mayfield swap but I had to do a search and found the address in case anybody may be interested. They hold it every wednesday at Mayfield Auction 91 E Vaught Rd, Mayfield KY 42066

I'm really surprised nobody answered my question about this but I was able to find it.
