Hmmm..... Cindy didn't mention if she had a silkie or not.... It can be that other Half a Chicken

or maybe Shelley - she needs more Feather Chickens....

honestly I don't know if there will be silkies, I suspect there might, though, if he had a roo, he probaby had a hen or two in there.

Right now I have one Self Blue (?) Roo, A self blue Hen, A Blue Splash Hen, a blue splash pullet, a buff pullet, a buff hen, two dark smokey colored ones, both pullets, two blacks, one looks like it will be a roo(haven't heard him crow yet) and two white ones, both pullets. I'm going to have to build an extension to their run so they have more room.

Oh I almost forgot, two OEGB Gold Duckwing x Blue Splash Silkie babies and two Self Blue Silkie babies.

Just talked to Jon (the kid who moved to Michigan, under much protesting that there are No jobs in Michigan....)

He must have inherited his Mama's Mojo, because he has a job at Amway starting at 9 bucks an hour. He hasn't started it yet, but will very soon. Just have to work out a few papers and such. I guess he knows the right people

Dang kid didn't even really fill out an app - he just knows someone who knows a high-up in the company (Joe, he dated the High Up guy's daughter). He had an interview and is just waiting on the start date.

He'll never let me hear the end of this one

after I told him over and over that there are NO JOBS IN MICHIGAN he gets one his first week there.

Sano sucked, I should have stayed home. The highest offer I got on my quail was $1 each, so they will all be making a trip to Indy tomorrow

I did get what I was asking on my black ameraucana roo, but I think that was the only one that brought what I wanted. It was ridiculous!!

If you do happen to get some white silkies in that group, Meri, I'd be interested in them...especially if there is a ROO!! Might be interested in other colors as well, but it would depend on what colors.

I felt like such an idiot tonight. I see this older man walking with a little blonde-headed girl. The little girl was pointing at something (I thought it was the polish roo, turned out to be the turkeys). I asked the man if he was daddy or grampa. He replied daddy......Then I realized I was talking to Christy's husband!!!

OMG, I've never been so embarrassed!!

He could pass for a grampa, he said he was 44. It's possible...

Christy, if you see this, tell your hubby I'm sorry I thought he was so old!!

Nope, I don't have a Silkie girly... Ron couldn't say no if one just happened to show up in the coop while we were gone doing the 127 sale... Can't blame me I wasn't home

Shelley, Chuck and whoever else is going to that swap tomorrow... Have fun and think of me here burning up at the swim conference. Shelley made some really good devilled eggs today. I would so sneak in a gold Sebright girly if there were any at the swap, my bday isn't til March but it would be for a good cause(trying to get hubby into the chicken craze and he really likes the gold Sebright)... hint hint

ETA: And Meri, wouldn't a Sebright only count as 1/4 of a chicken?

Cindy, wish you were coming with us, thanks for the good wishes. Maybe next year we can get together a larger contingent and everybody can come that couldn't make it this year. By the way folks, looks like I will be going back to work part time at Wally World next week. Got to make as much money as I can while I can to pay for all the play pretties!
