Kentucky people

Well, this is what I did with my weekend:

It took quite a bit longer than what I thought it would. I think if I had the materials in the area (instead of going all over the yard digging boards out

) it would have went quicker.

The MPC chicks are in here, along with 2 young guineas, 6 buff and 3 black silkies, and 2 mottled bantam cochins

I believe my dad thought I was dumb when I first told him about them, but since we have it done, now he's saying I should make some for his pigeons and LF birds!

I'll definitely be making some more, for my LF birds, and probably the guineas as well.

Hey Shelleyd, I will supply the wire, boards, zip ties and other materials and let you build one for me if you cook up a chickens or two. I'll even supply the chickens!

Wow I am soooo generous. . . but you did a good job so I cannot help myself.

I've been doing my Facebook page for the last couple of days - been trying to avoid BYC, actually - a few folks on here get on my nerves (none of you guys - elsewhere, I mean) so I take a break instead of posting something to get me banned

I did get twin calves tonight - a boy and a girl, I'll get pics tomorrow to post for ya'll to see - they are so small and cute - maybe the size of Lily. (Lily is my lab mix dog). The girl has a white face with one black eye - been thinking of calling them Ike and Tina (black eye, get it?

Mrs. Turbo -- Great to see you again at the SY.... The babies are doing great!! I ended up putting them in the coop since they were a bit bigger than I thought once I put them in the brooder tub....

They're running around eating and drinking and I think they're happy....

We put up 24 bales of hay yesterday and cleaned out the barn, chicken coop and goat house....

Boy am I sore....

Well, I got my DD's Turkey on Saturday... Not exactly one I would normally choose but I think I can put a little weight on him before Thanksgiving...

DD was teasing her brother about eating the goats since they wouldn't have their babies....

Yep, Still no babies... I hate it when you don't know the breeding date and you check their ligs and they seem to be soft and still no babies... Maybe they're all just FAT and having false pregs...

Mrs. Turbo -- Did ya'll like the bread?? Also, if you didn't get honey from the honey guy, you are really missing out... It was soooo good and fresh!!

The chicks do grow like weeds. They barely had feathers the first time I mentioned them. I bought Brianna a baby mini rex bunny. Very small and oh so cute!!!
