I didn't mind the movie Cujo much, but the book was scary. Whenever I would turn the lights off, I would see those red eyes in the closet!
The mini-series of The Stand was pretty close to the book, imo. They did leave some out, but not as much as they usually do. Stephen King gets a bit too graphic in his books. They would have to come up with a new rating if they copied his books into movies!
I don't think I could reread that book if I tried!! I read that after I quit school, before I had gotten a job, or had kids or anything, so I had plenty of time for it. I think it took me about 4 days...I've always been proud of that! A 1500 pg book in 4 days?? Most people think I'm joking! I can really go through them, if I put my mind to it. And if I don't have many distractions!
Oh yeah, the book was way better than the movie (Cujo) I think in the movie ti was a yellow lab or something. The books usually are better than the movies, though.
I do think they did a pretty good job with The Stand, better than some. Even Children of the Corn (which was actually a short story) was better as a book than the movie.
I miss having lots of time to read
