I might be interested in some Orps..different line.

THe oldest I have at the moment are about 2 months so they are just now getting weaned off the heat. I still plug it in on the really cold nights. My trio off SLW and BBS Orps are getting reay to lay soon. I can't wait till I have those as well.

I can't believe that I still have Silkies laying and setting..last year they had all quit by this time. I still have one Showgirl laying also..silly birds!!

I hope it is like last winter for me. My Silkie laid harder once the temp dropped then they did all spring and summer long. Plus that was when my Buffs started and they went strong the whole winter.

My coops are built by a security light so I think that helps out. It is always pretty bright out there.

Mine isn't..lol. Go figure!
Maybe the Pyrenees barking all night scares the eggs out of them.

Last Thanksgiving we were in Iowa at a show, not this year.
We gave away all our Columbians...no columbian chickens here. I took a picture of your birds, let me see if I can get them off my phone.
 
Here they are Colby, your new REAL GLWs. The hen is under the roosting pole so you can't see her type....I think they are pretty.

He took pics of one of my Splash Silkies, A White Silkie Roo and a Black Standard Cochin Roo...hope he didn't take my pic as well...lol!
