yep almost fell on my patutti this morning when I slipped in the mud in the pen!!!!

That's what I hate about the mud most. At least with snow you can kind of guess where it's going to be slick, you can step on a patch of mud that looks relatively firm and have it take off on you! My back kills me when we have mud all over, I have to take baby steps to keep from slipping

Hey all, I am hoping to save myself a bit of stress from shipping anxiety and avoid having to order more chicks than I want. I am looking for a few things.

I am interested in some clean legged bantam breeds. I had looked at ee bantams and some dutch. I promised the kiddies I would get them a few interesting bantams for their bantam coop.

I am also looking for pullets ( very young chicks are preferable, I want to raise them to be tame to my touch)

EE's
Speckled Sussex
Blue Hamburgs
Australops

If I cannot find what I want I will probably put in an order. If there is anyone nearby who wants to split an order with me let me know. I have been looking at ideal and McMurray. If I put in order in I am looking probably at a February or March ship date. It really depends on availability.

Also looking at maybe a few ducklings. I have looked at a few breeds. I have no clue what all I want because honestly I want them all. I do have free ranging and a pond available. I would like them to be able to deal with being confined in a run when necessary thought. Really would prefer they not be good flyers. Might even be interested in some geese ( thats my mothers thing but if you have pretties I may get her some)

Happy New Years eve everyone!!!! And welcome to all the great newbies who have joined our little community!!
Don't get in here much, even though I know I should... I still have my rainbow connection of 11 girls and a roo. Plus Layne has his BBR OEGB pair, and I have a quad of play pretty Seramas I bought from Shelley a few(?) months ago. The quad has a home in the basement unless we start hearing the cockerel crow, then out they go!
Been busy running Layne to swim practice 5 days a week with the local swim team plus one to two mornings with the high school swim team and all over the state to swim meets. We head down to Knoxville for our only out of state meet in a couple weeks. Keep them busy so no time for trouble!!!
