Yeah, he is also making friends (FINALLY!!!)

with his LD he has always had a hard time making friends, and now he has someone at work who, like him, was a city kid, so they got stuff in common. The guy wants Jon to get him some stuff online, and he is paying Jon by teaching him martial arts. He offered Jon money, but Jon asked for the Marial arts stuff

He said he felt guilty for taking the guy's money, cause I guess he lives alone, and doesn't make a lot of cash. The guy walks to work, even, no car - maybe Jon can make good friends with hi and MOVE IN WITH HIM

Question for all the KY folks - I'm asking you, because, well, I just am....

Ok, we've all seen the posts that state unequivocally that Chickens Cannot Get Colds!!

Why not? Why can a chicken not get a cold? is it their physical make-up? is it against Chicken religion to get colds?

No, they'll pick around in it and find the little pieces, and waste a lot of it if there is nothing to keep them out, but they'll be able to eat it ok.

Hi SHELLEY!!!!!! I missed you so much it's been sooo long since we talked last!!!

Hey guess what, I have 3 rosecombs and 2 BRs so far...Got 2 BRs to go and 1 Rosecomb. I had another Rosecomb to pip and seemed to be coming along when suddenly liquid and bubbly was coming from the pip. I took it out and the liquid was really thick and sticky. It was already dead by the time I removed the gunk from the beak. Not humidity problem it's all the way up to 69-70. Dunno

Sorry didn't mean to ignore you, been researching some things on here. My chicks didn't come today.

So I hope they come tomorrow morning.

I have the brooder all set up for them ready and waiting. SO hopefully they will alright. And then I have to go get my car out of the shop tomorrow afternoon, if they have it ready. $700.00 + dollars. UGH!

But I did go get a bale of shavings today, and a big bag of Chick Starter/Grower, a couple of those big clear storage containers to act as temporary housing when I clean the brooder.

So I drained one of the 55 gallon aquariums cleaned it all out, cut some 2 x4's to act as a platform for the waterer, put in the shavings, hooked up the light to generate some heat, filled the waterer with sugar water and the drinker part with some stones to keep them from drowning, and now waiting for the babies to arrive.

Of course the dogs are gonna think I got them some new kind of squeeky toys, luckily the tank is up high enough!

Wow! That's weird? I've never heard of that, not like I have hatched that many eggs!

When did you get rosecomb eggs? Are they standard or bantam chickens? I thought those were supposed to be mean? Hope they don't woop your roo!
