I always liked the orpingtons but this last batch I got wasn't the same. The roos were mean. They were rough on the hens and hens weren't friendly. The Wyandottes are perfect. The roo is calm my kids feed him the hens are like puppies. They are by far my favorite breed. Now I am raising everything I hatch and going to keep the best. I added a pic of my orpingtons.

Might you be having any extra of those BLRW's to sell? I have been looking for a pretty new pullet to add to my flock of 3. Had wanted a Speckled Sussex but cant seem to find any. Are the Wyandots noisy? I have read that they were.I live in the city and need a hen that doesn't vocalize 24/7.
If not do you know of anyone that has the Speckled Sussex for sale?

I will have some splash for sale. I am going to keep most of the black and blue that still have the deep red in there hackles. I have a speckled sussex sitting on some blrws right now. She is my neighbors and he doesn't raise chicks. Ill see if he has any for sale.

Another idea is to find one of the Playschool kid's playhouse, preferably used on craigslist or at a garage sale. Fortify with hardware cloth and you have a stealth chicken coop. If you can't have a playhouse, neither can your neighbors.

Now there is an idea! Here is a house that looks like a Little Tykes Playhouse! Amazing how much it resembles one! http://amzn.to/1pfUZ1g Keep us informed on how you make this work. you are keeping us hopping for ideas!

Unfortunately, no sheds. I think my best bet may be something on wheels. Either way, something I don't invest a ton into, in case someone gets mad and rats me out.
I spoke with my neighbors across the street (we are really close with our neighbors) and they were supportive

Yes, but even supportive neighbors can become irritated sometimes. I would keep what I do to myself and not get others involved. when you tell your secrets, the recipient feels involved. I am not suggesting breaking any laws but creating a means to have fresh eggs available to you.

Not to worry....I found one today about 45 minutes away! Her name is Punch! She is a beauty!

My Wys both girls constantly attack my other hens. If I didn't just have to harvest 3 roos I might have harvested them.
