These are not chicks from Hatchery stock ..all of my birds are purchased from individual breeders. Some quantities are limited, so make your appointment soon for the best selection. Chicks hatching every 2-3 days. Some are 2-3 weeks old and already out in the barn. Over 200 chicks available and more hatching in the next couple days. Chicks are $2-$4 depending on breed.

I also have Guinea keets hatching on a regular basis..several colors to choose from..still only $3 each.

Duckling are available on a regular basis..Indian Runner, Golden Cascade, Pekin, and Muscovy.

Welsh Harlequin Drakes..several..1/3 to 1.2 grown.

Emden goslings, Sebastopol goslings, Brown African goslings..goose season is almost done..I won't have these much longer.

I don't get much puter time so please call for further details or to check availability. Please check your drive time to Munfordville, KY..all babies are pick up only.

Thanks!

Welcome to BYC and the KY thread! I have all three of the breeds you are looking for. I don't have any chicks right now, but I do have hatching eggs available most of the time (SFH are a little tight right now, but I should be able to collect a few between orders). I have black Ameraucanas and Blue Wheaten/Wheaten Ameraucanas (very limited) and Black Copper Marans (blue possible, but not likely). I may have a hen going broody, so I may be able to hatch some, or if you want quite a few hatched, I guess I could always buy another incubator, right?

Let me know if you are interested.

Do you ever ship your eggs? I'm interested in Marans and have an incubator.

Thanks & Blessings

Yes, I do ship my eggs. I don't have a lot laying right now, though. The raccoons have caused them a lot of grief in the last couple of weeks. Make sure you REALLY predator-proof your new coop! I have Black Copper Marans (blue possible, but not likely), Swedish Flower Hens, White Bresse, Black Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers, Royal Palm turkeys and soon will have Isbars available. I also get an occasional Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana egg, but I only have 1 hen at the moment and she knows that she is so sweet that I will keep her even if she doesn't lay eggs very often!

I also have some Rhodebars, but they are broody right now.

I might be able to put together an order of the Marans by the end of next week. Just so you know, Marans can be very difficult to hatch.

What do you suggestion on incubation for the Maran eggs?

Hello and welcome. Guineas are a treat if you don't mind the noise. Have you owned chickens or guineas before?

We have a few chickens for a short time before we moved, all young. Never had guineas, my friend does and I'm looking forward to the insect control!!! We now live on 5 acres of a large family farm Looking forward to eggs and fresh meat. Most of my chickens will be dual purpose. I welcome your thoughts and suggestions!!

How is the egg production coming along with you all? Most of the readers on our blog say theirs has dropped a lot with the heat.. Just curious if you all have experienced the same thing?
I have 17 hens, Orph, Marans and a couple of RIR. Two are pullets who have not started laying yet.
Two of my hens required a lot of stitches when a neighbor's dog invaded my chicken yard. I don't think either of them will ever lay an egg again but that's OK. they have a home as long as they live.
Heat has not seemed to slow my hens down any in egg production. I get 8-10 eggs a day.
Have two Maran hens that are bent and determined to brood. They stay in "jail" a lot trying to break their brood cycle to break. No nest available, water bottom bath daily. As soon as I think they are ready to go back to the group, they will be OK for about 3 weeks, then go right back in the broody stage.
