I have 3 different colored silkies in the bator, ameracaunas, lakenvelders, welsummers, porcelain d'uccles, frizzles, dutch, favorelles. Then I have mille fleur eggs coming, and more silkies. I think I'll stop for a while after that. Well a little while anyway. I have 10 dozen coturnix eggs coming from pop next month

I can't believe how tiny she is! These guys don't look that much smaller than the splash babies I had! But I do have some tiny OEGB and dutches, so maybe that's why?

Well if its a boy then we'll change it to Patches...

Remember you need to grind their food the first week or two, just like your little quails.

Shelley had it right about the temp. for the Seramas. A breeder told me the temp should be around 101 and the humidity should stay around 50%. On the batch before last, none of my Serama eggs hatched but two of the others hatched. Temp stayed around 99.5 to 100.5 and humidity was bad and wouldn't go above 45 or stay stable.

Ms. Lewis Rich :

Looks like your getting 2 light colored ones with a dark one will make a really pretty trio.
I got the Serama book signed by the author Josiah Woodfield I think it is the only one there is.

Oh, you are too lucky. And I need to find a copy of that book since mine are going to be caged birds...Hope the roo has a tiny crow so Ron will at least let me keep them in the garage. Gonna try to convince the pet shop here that these are great pets.

I liked your story, I am really bored today, Am waiting for the princess, my 20 year old daughter to gift me with her sweet self. She promised to do my roots today, and I'm not going anywhere until she does, She has been promising this for a week, On the off chance I get a date this weekend I would like my hair to be all the same color. I also turn another year old and the more depressed I get the blonder I get,

Happy Birthday Early. Karen! Just remember, we are not getting older, we are maturing gracefully and as with all fine things we only increase in value, wisdom, and beauty.

Well too bad you aren't closer we'd go to lunch. As far as covering roots? I gave up on mine. Actually I've convinced myself that my gray looks more like highlights. Cortni thinks it looks "Cool"...She likes it. I have had gray throughout my hair since I was in my mid 30s.

Ms. Lewis Rich :

Cindy , I'll lend ya my book don't buy it. If I don't get around to sending it will have it for ya when Layne gets his cochin.

Aww thanks, that is sweet...But too late...Just made an offer on one for 7.25 on Ebay.

If they don't accept my offer I'll borrow yours then. I started looking for it after your post...Didn't know there was a book just for Seramas. I also want to find the Storeys guide to Chickens and the Storeys guide to Ducks.
