Yeah, but my neighbor wants to pick out two of the ducklings (or rather, have his boys each pick one) so I have to wait on him. I did offer the ducklings to him first. If he shows up tomorrow morning, I might go, if I could take the ducks along too.

I am going to have to lock that splash pair of calls up for awhile. Poor drake is being beaten up on too badly, and I don't want him hurt (for now he just looks bad, he isn't injured). I hate to lock them up, though, poor babies, they love to go outside.

If it doesn't resolve itself, I may have to sell that pair just to keep the drake safe

You could always lock up the other drake, until that one gets back to snuff. Then you could still spoil the other one. Or lock them all up, and only let them free range seperately. You know, one day the pair, next day the trio. They wouldn't be too happy, but at least that way you wouldn't have to keep one or the other locked up all the time.

I tried that, and the pair always end up going and hanging out inside, anyway, after they go outside for an hour or so. I would let them out for an hour, then lock them up and switch, but they never go to the right coop when I do that

Also, the splash drake is so roughed up he isn't mating or anything, but the blue drake is mating everyone

which is the biggest part of the problem, he wants ALL the women, not just his own.

Today all of them were out, and this afternoon I had to go looking for the pair - they were hiding in the woods. That is why I locked them into a seperate coop. Ya see, BC likes to sleep in their coop - but if I let her out, they go out, too. So I either have to put them in their own coop, and keep them locked up, or let them out. That drake is in such bad shape (feather-wise) he has a hard time escaping any predator, I dont want to risk having him outside right now.

Anyway, I'm rambling

but I think it would be better to just keep them locked up for awhile, until he gets back into shape a little bit.

Well, looks like I have been deserted again, so nobody will see this

But anyway, I'm happy!!

I only have about 300 more words to go to get my research paper finished!!
ya.gif
It is supposed to be between 2000 and 2500 words, and it is right now at 1979. This includes the title and reference pages though, and those aren't supposed to count. Those together are almost 300 words, so I know I'm about 300 short! It has been a long, hard road, but the end is near!

Hopefully I'll get it done in time for Meri to proofread it for me

It is due on Sunday.

Ok, I'm back, sorry

Sammy needed to print something for homework due tomorrow, and then CSI came on, and hubby yelled for me to come watch it.

Now I need to add a new black ink cartridge to my shopping list

dang kid.

I've got brand new black and color ink setting here that I haven't even used yet! I got lucky though, it was either right before Christmas, or right after, and walmart had a special. If you bought the combo pack, which was about $30 I think, then you got a free $10 gift card. If I would have known that they had that going, I would have stocked up! I'll be needing to change mine soon though, as my new classes start Monday. That will be 2 27-page syllabuses (sp?) to print, and every time I print something now, the thing pops up that I need to change the cartridge. It looks fine to me, so I'm leaving it till it's GONE!!

Yeah, I always wait til the print is too faded to see (which it is now, thanks to Sammy needing a black and white photo of Albert Einstein printed.) He's lucky I had enough ink left to print one copy of the text he needed.

Actually Mt Healthy does sell bantams, but only as a straight run assortment, no listing of the breeds of bantams they have. You take your chances on what they have available.

Looks like tomorrow is going to be another nice day, no rain until late in the evening and early Saturday Morning. And the week aheads weather doesn't look that hot either.

And by 'hot' you mean 'hot'? Or good? Does that mean the upcoming week's weather is pretty icky?

Pretty icky, possible snow showers mid week, rain mix, I hope not, or I'll be borrowing the neighbors truck or have him drive me on my errands.

Have you summarized your points in your paper yet? The final paragraph could be a restatement of your position and a summary of the points that you made throughout your paper. Just a thought.
