I am simply dying for Jr. to hatch out her other babies!!! I can't wait to see them.

Jr. was the first baby I ever had hatch out here from my own chickens. She was hatched by a broody hen - two hatched, but only Jr. survived.

I guess her babies are like my Grandbabies

Motherhood has made her a slightly nicer chicken, though

she was always pretty anti-social, but now when she gets off to come find food and to poo, she actually chirps a hello to me on her way by.

I'm thinking those eggs ought to be hatching this week sometime.

Thanks, did a search and am about halfway through reading it now.

wow, some people are just "out there" ya know? makes me wonder how far they'll go next time when they pull this.

They did save themselves some jailtime for refusing money or gifts sent to them, though. They've probably done this before and know the routine and the laws.

No, I still haven't gotten the pics yet, sorry.

I've just been so busy the last few days, been trying to catch up on a bunch of stuff I left undone over the winter -- Now they've caught up to me.

I'll try to remember to do it today. Oh, btw, were you just considering her? or would you want the cockerel that looks like her, also?

I'll also try to get pics of the two Jr. babies I have inside - bantam babies are so cute

I'm keeping most of her babies (once her others hatch). I don't need any cockerels out of them, so I hope I have a lot of girls out of her eggs she is sitting on.

As dangerous as that barn is, I'm going to bring them in as soon as she hatches them out - she won't like it, but she'll get over it.
It is open to stray cats, coons, then they have to climb over or under the skids in there (the floor floods if it rains) and run the gauntlet of donkey feet to get in and out. They'll never survive.

Oddly enough, the two I have from her so far look totally different from each other - I can't wait to see what comes out of the eggs she is on. The one baby looks like she did as a baby, but has some copper brown in it's back stripe. The other is all-over copper brownish black.

Maybe I'll just run out there now to try to get some pics of the olive eggers while I'm thinking about it. be back....

would it be alright just to take the pullet?

Yeah, if you also wanted a couple of the other chicks. Since they are getting bigger though (and I'm feeding them

) I'd want more than 2 bucks each for them. It wouldn't pay me to bring just the one chick, though

I am keeping two of the chicks I had in the first pic - the barred rock pullet and a white rock/dellie pullet. The others, I believe, are 3 and 3 pullets and cockerels. The barred rock pullet has one twisted toe - it doesn't seem to bother her to walk, but I figured on keeping her anyway. It may work itself out once she is off the wire cage bottom, too.

I was thinking $6 on the olive egger and since the others are bigger, (almost ready to go outside, may not have to be brooded indoors) I was thinking $4 bucks each on those.

Oh, btw, Jr. hatched out one of her eggs!! This one doesn't look like the other two
lau.gif
so I'm gonna have a wide variety just out of her babies. This one is silver and black - more like George.

I'm gonna go check later to see if any others hatch before bed, then check in the morning. 8 more eggs to go -- woohoo!!!

I have 21 blue swedish ducklings

they are adorable - and a nice variety type, for folks who want different looking ducks.

If I needed ducks I'd go for it.

Two of the ducklings that I got have crests - a drake and a hen (duck?) but I don't want the crested ones, so I'm selling those two - along with a few others - 21 ducklings is too many
