Mojo Chick'n :

Oh, btw - I'll be going in to Day & Day tomorrow morning, early, is there anythign ya wanted me to look for for ya ?

Oh!! I'm thinking I'll be going to town tomorrow too, so I'll just stop in when I go there. I hope they have some black cochins again!

I don't know though, I'm wanting to go when they get their bantams on Thursday. I'm not sure what I would want, but the buff orps seem to be really popular! I had a lot of inquiries on those 3 pullets dad had, and he had those sold as soon as he got to Sano the other day! Let me think about it for a few.

Well, they were pretty good sized, and now they are maybe the size of a nickel (slightly more, maybe between a nickel and quarter) but they were set on the 5th and some on the 7th.

I would think then that your humidity is too high. Maybe let them run dry for a few days at least? The air cells should be about half the egg by now, or close to it.

I don't know!! I guess it would just have to be something that strikes my fancy

I'll have to get feed anyway (don't need it, but what the heck right?

). Julie said last week that this was the first time they have ever had the sp. sussex or black cochins, so I would be surprised if they got those again. I think it would be a toss up to which one I'd get though, if they were both there. Might have to get 2 bags of feed!

I'll probably call first to see if the brahmas came in - I really need some brahmas.

Well, I have to go to town anyway, so I'll probably stop in and see what they have. I don't need any feed right now, but since the chicks are free, I could always resell them. And I can always use more feed!!

Yeah, I have 6 bags of starter, but I could buy some flock raiser for the ducklings when they get older to transition them to the 16% I feed the bigger ones.

Or just beg her to sell me 5 brahmas without the feed

Tyler - your inbox is full.

PM me about the ducks ok?

If you still want them, I can bring them to Sano if you're going out there, or if you were going to Liberty (I think you said that was where you were going in April) let me know, so I can give you directions over to my house in Columbia.

Let me know, soon.

Oh yeah, she said they were $1.25 each, or 5 free with the feed. I was going to just buy some of the black cochins, until she told me that I could get the freebies with the flock raiser.
I am using the flock raiser for my young ducks, chicks, and quail, and I am using maybe a bag a week, if that. I am going through 2 bags of the 16% feed, plus a bag of cracked corn a week for the others, but I'm feeding that to the pig too. Spring is here!!

I'm not spending an arm and a leg on feed anymore!!

I'm glad the 16% is cheap, cause the top coop (the brahmas and dellie and white rocks) are eating it like it's CRACK!! Gawd they're pigs!!

yeah, since I'm for sure keeping the brahmas I'll just buy them outright for that price. The others I got I'll be keeping a few of them, but most are going to Sano.

I'm goign through two bags of the 16% a week - if I'm lucky to make it a whole week.
