Checking in this morning - been busy with sis.
Had to get up at 5:30 this AM, though, to go get my Dellie babies, (finally!!!). Some of them look good and some look like they might get muddy colored. I guess we'll see.
I've been moving chicks around again this morning. I finally put the Brahma babies out into the Little Baby Coop (my spare coop that the Brahmas will be in once they are adults). I tore the hatcher room apart last night trying to find something, got ticked, decided something else had to go outside. In the Little Baby Coop I have Columbian Rocks, the 5 Baby duckies, the Buff Orps and the Brahmas, now. Oh, and I put the Quail (the adults) in there - poor things wanted out to dust bathe so badly
.
Everyone seems to be getting along. I had to move Squishy, Spiffy and Sloopy into the big duck pen. They kept attacking the baby duckies. Sloopy is small enough to escape, but I doubt he will - he sticks right close to the other two, and they can't get out.
I have yet to get a pic of my new tat, or the baby quail.
This dang rain better stop soon, my upper chicken run is nasty (it needs sand, badly). I also need to go to Sano so I can get rid of some older babies (and that red roo). The red roo is in a cage, now - he attacked DD (my female call duck). I think he was trying to be a "big man" but I happened to see it happen, and he got put into jail for it. He didn't hurt her, just made me mad.
Got the white call duck eggs in the hatcher - I hope I get some of those to hatch. I have chicken eggs hatching right now, too.
Those baby geese are getting HUGE!! I need to put them out, soon, too. If it ever stops raining I plan to make a little yard pen for them during the day at least, then at night they can go inside.
Yesterday was nice, though, stayed dry long enough for Sis and I to have a bonfire last night.
Well, got some catching up to do on here....
