I had thought about bringing them yesterday - needed three more to add to it, but I couldn't remember if she said she was going to your house yesterday or not.

She is coming over tomorrow sometime. (this way she can see my pens and coops, too

My "big baby" dog only comes to my knee - I think that's the size I'll stick to for now

but yes, Nitro is a BIG baby and he is sweet.
(the folks at L&S didn't even comment on the slobber and fur all over me

Anyone else - sorry I'm hoarding BR's at the moment

If BC hadn't of integrated and started to fit in so well, I'd let ya have her - but I think it would traumatize the poor baby if she was moved again. She is so sensitive sometimes!! She even hangs out with Miss Celie - the anti-social hen!! I'm amazed Miss Celie likes her so well (since she doesn't like any other chicken much) - maybe it's a BR thing

. But, I have a pullet that'll be about 4 months old by the time ya get here to take her home with ya.

I'll save the BA pullets for your friend, too. I'll just move them out of the brooder coop into the other coop (with my keepers). I have (I think) three of those - maybe four.
Plus I have lots of pretty mutts, if they want more than the BA.

Other than that, I am about plumb out of pure breds for sale. (Unless we're talking cockerels

still have a few of those). Oh, I do have some Columbian Rocks, though (both pullet and cockerel) - they're about two months old right now. (and I have those Golden Comet pullets.)

I think that once I get the BR flock going, I may try to coax BC into joining them - since her Mama and Daddy were so beautiful, I'd love to get some pure bred babies out of her. (she is lovely - can't wait til ya see her now since she started laying - she is so fat and dark and her pattern is wonderful.)

Well, I'm off to Wally World this morning - need diet coke and toilet paper - that staples of life

No worries, here - I've had big slobbery dogs before (had a pair of St. Bernards at one time) - he's just doing what a big slobbery dog does - sharing the love

Sydney..I would have been really upset if it had been the silkie babies..they were inside..I have another 30 or so outside but they weren't as accessible..so today hubby is trying to predator proof everthing..it is frustrating..

Hey all, please keep my family in your thoughts or prayers. We got a call this morning that my brother had been in an accident. Seems he fell asleep at the wheel coming home from work and hit a tree. He didn't survive..... He was only 35 years old

Oh my Shelley..I lift you/family up in prayer at this time..

Lord, Be with this family at this painful time..you know their needs..Amen

Shelley..If I can do anything to help you out let me know..was this here?

No, he had moved to Texas a few years ago....I don't know yet where they are going to have the services, I hope here, cause I don't have any idea how we will get to Texas. The only vehicle running is dad's truck, and it probably wouldn't make it to the state line.

I'e only lost one bird to a coon, and it was inside the coop!! I had a gap at the bottom of the wall, and it was enough for the coon to get his leg through and rip the poor baby apart (not enough for him to drag her out, though). It was a bantam cochin, so she would sleep on the ground, instead of on a perch.

I noticed another gap out there I have to re-fix. So far no other racoon visits.
