Kentucky people

Well, I got some exciting news tonight. MY friend who I got my Sheltie from is getting her new place after all. She is downsizing from a 10+ acre farm to a 3 acre property. She is hoping to close sometime between September 25th and October 1rst. She has offered her old place to me on rent to own deal. I will lease the property for 1 year and then after that time, I will apply for a mortgage to buy it outright from her. The property is located 15 miles outside of Winchester, KY. The house, which is need of a lot of cosmetic repairs, is a three bedroom with a partial basement. The basement I could set up as a combination fish/bird room. The chickens will have room to run, the dogs will have their own area, the pigeons will be able to fly freely, and the rabbits will have a nice place out of the weather.

So if all goes well, I will be moving to the farm in October.

I forgot to mention it already has a chicken coop on the property. It also has an old log barn, but that will either have to be repaired or torn down and a new one built to replace it. It also has two bathrooms, one off the master bedroom and one off the other two bedrooms. I know I'll have a lot of work to do on the property, but that is okay. Luckily I have some building skills and the tools, just need the extra money to get it all done.

he is > TheForgottenScribe so if ya see him online, give him a yell.

he's my oldest son, the one who lives in Michigan (didn't move with us) and his name is Adam.

Welcome to Winchester! We live a few miles out going towards Irvine. It's a great place to be in, if you need a hand with anything on that house, let me know, I can swing a wrench and turn a hammer with the best of them

Well, woke up this morning to pouring rain, so no deck work today, I assume.

had to do chores in the pouring rain
sad.png
that was not fun, but not too bad, either, at least everyone was in a hurry to eat and get back under shelter
lau.gif
so I got a break from being mauled by cows today.
I put a bale of hay inside the barn for them, so they didn't have to stand outside and get soaked (spoiled babies).

But, now I get a day to relax a little (then clean house

Really? It's not raining here, maybe I should go out and feed before it decides to open up and wash the baby ducks' food away?
