Kentucky people

Thanks everyone for the condolences. I'm going to check out the swap in Shepherdsville this week-end and see what they have there, weather permitting. Hopefully I can find a Buff Orpington roo or maybe another trio of OEGBs.

has the Shepherdsville swap picked up any? It is too cold for my blood right now. Anyone need 18 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chicks? pick up no minimum number...... not enought to ship inthe cold weather. What is a few more chickens

Hi other Kentuckians! I posted this info in a post in the random ramblings section but wanted to make sure it was seen by as many Kentucky residents as possible. (and yes, I asked permission from Nifty-Chicken and he gave the go-ahead as long as I posted this part -- "I've asked the BYC Forum Staff if it is okay to post this and they said I could. As long as the discussion remains civil and doesn't turn into a debate about the pros and cons or morality of cockfighting then they will let the thread continue". I really don't want there to be a thread per se; I only want to make Kentuckians aware of upcoming legislation. There is a bill before the Kentucky House of Representatives (H. R. 169 ) that will strengthen our incredibly inadequate animal protection laws. Kentucky has some of the weakest animal protection laws in the entire country. The law currently classifies cockfighting as a misdemeanor. The new bill would change the classification from a misdemeanor to a felony. You can either contact your representative directly, or call this 800 # 1 800 372-7181to voice your opinion either for (and I really, REALLY hope you vote FOR) or against the proposed legislation. There. I've said it. Now it's up to the rest of the Kentuckians to follow their consciences.

hahaha you just can't stay away from us can you..... We had a real weird hatch. They started hatching on Monday and finished on Thursday so I couldn't ship my order. I did end up with 24 chicks in the end. Jerry was running the incubator and killed off a bunch the last hatch and I am not sure what happened this time....hope everything is worked out now.
Are you ready to swich to a new color Wyandotte?
