Oh no! What happened? How'd you lose them? When? I'm sorry.

About 6 weeks ago I decided to turn them out to range for the first time. My son decided to go running around like a fool where they were and scared them into the woods. Having been their first time out they didn't know how to get home.

A neighbor (3 miles away) called about 2 weeks later saying the peas were at their house. By the time I got there they had moved on. I haven't heard of or seen them since.

I was really hoping this was them, but I don't know that I could catch them if I ever do find them.

That's awful. Are you 'in' with local animal control? I know a friend on mine here is called every single time animal control catches a chicken, peafowl, injured wild birds or anything. They could be an ally. I hope you find/catch them!

*ahem* THANK YOU, LuckyInKy!!! The D'Uccles are adorable and I am now a hero in the eyes of my children.

Yay, I am glad the kids like them. Mine were a little sad and then I bought them toys and all was well, lol.

Thanks for the pics. They are pretty little birds.
Are you in a big hurry to have them picked up? My husband could pick them up next Thursday on his way home.
