KFC vs Tyson

False. No chicken raised in the US is allowed to have hormones.

CORRECTION!! Tyson recently moved it's factories to China.

I choose secret option number 3! We raise our own chicken and will soon be raising our own beef as well (the beef we get now comes from the farm next door). We do everything organically so we have no concerns about what we might be inadvertently consuming, we know everything that goes into our birds and exactly how they are treated because we do it all ourselves!

KFC hands down. I like their chicken and I really like their cole slaw. I won't buy Tyson. A while ago they were talking about raising and processing chickens in China for the American market. I don't know if that was just a proposal or if they are actually doing it. Since I try to avoid any and all food products from China, I refuse to buy Tyson anything.

I have UC and can't tolerate corn fed in large amounts. We recently re-stocked our freezer. We got every type of beef we use - tenderloins to ribeyes to T-bones and brisket. Also, pork cutlets, smoked ham and bacon, sausage. Chicken breasts and a couple of whole chickens. All told, 78 lbs. of meat for $265.00. I consider that to be a good amount of meat for the money and nowhere near triple of what the only grocery store in town (walmart) charges.

Doesn't change the fact that no chickens in the US are allowed hormones.

Tyson has opened plants, wherever they have markets, around the world. The Tyson plant in China is apparently for the Chinese retail market and export to Japan. What's surprising about that? http://www.wattagnet.com/Tyson_Foods__Growing_with_China.html
