Khaki Campbell Hatching Thread

Before I went to bed last night, I figured Id better check the bator. Sure enough it had dropped to 35%. :barnieI had just checked it a couple hours before and it was right where I wanted it. :yesss:Added water to two troughs and got it back up and is still holding steady this morning.:highfive: Going to pick up some sponges on the way home tonight and do what @aart showed me in the photo. :jumpyGetting too close to hatch date to mess it up now.:he

Ive candled but I dont mark the cells. Im going to check them this weekend one final time before lockdown.

I like marking them on days 7, 10, 14 & 18....good way to tell if humidity should be run a bit higher or a bit lower....and knowing if pips are in air cell or outside of it.

So as you know, Im down to 7 eggs left from the 18 I initially got. :hit One was broken on arrival, probably due to the careful handeling of the post office. :mad:The 12 I got from one seller I pretty much threw out as I candled twice and not one developed. The six from the other seller are doing fine. :celebrate
I contacted the first seller telling him I had to discard all but one of his eggs because they hadnt developed. After discussion, he has offered to send me 8 fresh ones. I sent him a pic of one egg showing no bullseye.
The ones still in the bator are due to hatch Thursday. :jumpy Hopefully the new eggs will do better.:fl

Humidity dipped a little but not much. Went down to 66%. Just had to add a little water and its back to 70%. My new humidity pump from Incubator Warehouse is coming but I wont need it this batch. Next set Im using it so it stays where I want it.

I just vot home and have 4 eggs pipping!
