When my kids were little:
yawyeepop = lollipop
ninger = finger
"My sister has weasle eyes" (make that hazel eyes)
'Mommy, I need tension!" She meant attention. (she often caused the tension LOL)
And they all lived "happy evvy after" was yelled at the end of every movie. (I still say that when we've watched a really good movie and they roll their eyes.)
When my youngest was 2 I couldn't find the family cat, Puff-in-Stuff. So I wandered the house singing, "Puff Kitty? Puff Kitty?" and my little shadow follwed me saying "Pooh-ky, Pooh-ky?"
Puff was Pooky from that day until she passed from old age!
When I was a little kid I thought the line in the song "Inchworm" was "measuring the miracles" instead of 'measuring the marigolds.' No one had ever corrected me, and I still sing it the wrong way.... I like it better my way!
