Kids and weird eating habits

Now I want to know about this 'fry truck'...

My grandson's, fathers, family is very picky. I thought since I was raising him he would not be picky. I gave him a variety of food when he first started to eat. I thought everything was going good. I would make him smoothies with all kinds of fruits and veggies. He is now three years old. He does not eat meat, veggies, or whole fruits. He does eat nuts, protein bars, and some bread. It seems that texture in foods make him vomit. It is so weird.

My friends son will only eat turkey bacon and drink Mellow Yellow. 3 meals a day...turkey bacon and Mellow Yellow. He is 14. He is also over 6 feet tall. I dunno how

When my youngest was 6 he came home and announced that since his friend was a vegetarian he was going to be one too. We asked him what that meant and he said he would no longer eat meat. This meant no 'meat'balls, 'meat' loaf etc. But turkey, steak, and chicken were fine (no meat in the word). Even hamburgers were ok as they were not meatburgers. A few weeks later he reaiized what it was all about and that was the end of that.

When my kids did not like what was offered for dinner they had a choice, eat it or cereal/yougurt. They got sick of the second choice real quick. Preferences I respect.

Citrus Soda made by Coca-Cola...you've never heard of it?

Never heard of it. Must be a regional thing. I know that if I visit my folks I can always find lemon sugar cookies; they are completely unavailable here. The closest is lemon ICED cookies (and they are rare).

I do NOT like iced cookies unless they are homemade, and then the icing has to be more of a thin glaze. For that matter, I don't like most cake icings, either. Now a homemade whipped cream icing is fabulous, and I always get rave reviews. For a basic cake, I cannot tell the difference between boxed mix and from scratch, but the icing--easy to tell. Also, I generally don't care for store-bought cakes--WAY too sweet, and that is not considering the icing. Real bakeries do a good job, but none of the groceries or big-box stores (Costco or Sam's)--the cake tastes like sugar flavoured cardboard.
