Kids and weird eating habits

oh and as for me, my brothers used to be so picky, particuarly my little brother, me i usually eat mostly anything, not too picky. my little brother used to love frosty flakes and he absolutely HATED cheese, would not eat it, not even one piece and i think on pizza and parmachan cheese, cheese slices, nothing, wouldnt touch it, now hes gotten a little better, he does eat cheese now although, there is still some cheese he will not eat but much better than what he used to do. my older brother used to HATE peanut butter, actually they both did, little bro still does, older bro has started eating it, he will tolerate it and will make PB & J now as well but he used to hate it, he despised the stuff, like for example, i remember one time i was making a PB & J sandwich and i used the same knife for both, the PB & J, PB first and i accidently got some PB in the jelly and my older bro told me he was allergic to it and that now he couldnt/wouldnt eat it or whatever, i think i was like no your not and he was like yeah i am, and then i think i cleaned the knife and prob tried to get the pb out of the j, i knew it wasnt true but still, you can never be to sure/careful, of course he wasnt allergic but we have a friend who is but now its just a funny story, haha. and apparently, according to my dad (i dont think i was born yet), he used to eat boloni and he would only eat it if it had the crust removed and was in the shape of mickey mouse (apparently we had a mickey mouse cookie cutter)... oh and oh and they both hate tomatos and refuse to eat green beans, also they used to hate veggies, but hey i did too, particuarly brocolli, spinnach, and assperagus haha but now i will tolerate brocolli when i have to, still hate spinnach and assperagus is ok, still gross but ill eat it on holidays and stuff, now we've gotten much better with food and veggies and stuff, but still certain things bug em, but i usually eat, or at least try anything, although i dont like most seafood, but my bros, particuarly little one, are the picky ones... haha

my daughter still does that and she changes her mind everytime what shape they should be. Of course I dont make a new sandwich if shes hungry she eat it wether shes crying or not.

oh, yeah and my little brother also won't eat pie or cheeseckae, its like how do you not like pie? well actually i guess i could see pie maybe cause the crust can be gross sometimes but comeon, cheesecake? haha but he just doesn't, i dont even think hes ever actually tried it, maybe some a while ago but he just wont eat it, but again, i think that just goes back to ever since he was a little kid, he just doesnt like cheese and it has cheese in the name therefore, he instantly doesnt like it, strange... haha

oh and sorry, i forgot to mention, its not like these are little kids either, the youngest is 13, 14 in december, then me (16, 17 in march), then the oldest is 19, 20 in september. and they still hate they foods i mentioned, both of them... haha

wow, that must be a pain in the neck, sorry about that... but if it helps, apparently my older brother used to hate pb so he used to have my dad make him baloni sandwiches and he wouldnt eat it unless it was in the shape of mickey mouse with no crust (apparently we had a mickey mouse cookie cutter)... haha, some kids are just so weird, i would know, i have two brothers

I have a five year old nephew who wants his mother to feed him. He rarely ever feed himself. Saw him eating last year at an event.....his mom fed him pieces of chicken like a momma bird does. However he does help himself drinks.

My hubby is one of those "strange diet" people, stemmed from childhood. He does not eat meat, veggies or fruits.

what does he eat? just breads and pastas

His diet consists mostly:

Peanut butter sandwiches...sometimes he would add potato chips or Chex cereal for crunchiness.
Potato chips and mashed potatoes and french fries. No other style of potatoes. No gravy or butter.
Grilled cheese sandwiches
He has been eating like this since of the age of nine I believe as his mom told me. He is now 47 years old. His cholestrol is excellent, 105! BP usually ranges in the 100/80.
Does not work out but at his workplace, does heavy machinery.
Loves chocolate chip cookies with NO nuts or anything else, Sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies (without nuts)
. Likes cakes without frosting as long it is not fruit related like coconut or banana cakes.
Jello, artifically flavored and no fruits added.
Chocolate milk on occasion, Root Beer on occasion but mostly water he drinks. On hot days, Gatorade for work.

five, and still being fed? wow, now that's sad, how's he ever gonna learn to get around in the world? is his mother overprotective/overmotherly or he just wants her to do that for him and hes spoiled and she does? either way, she better stop that, and soon, he's never gonna learn to fend for himself, thats sad.

*edited for spelling/grammar* lol

His mother is my hubby's sister........I am wondering if it is genetics LOL! His mom is not overprotective or overmotherly. She just dont like the "messiness" that kids create when they eat independly. She was agasted when I let my dd from infant to around three years old (now six) to play with her food, missing her mouth, dribbles down her chin and shirt, her hair. I told her kids are washable and so are clothes! So in order to get him to eat, she would tear meat in penny sized pieces to feed him. And yes, he is very very picky. Refused to eat any veggies. AND get this, she constantly gives him ExLax just about everyday for the first two years of his life.

Last year she told me that she is going to test her son for ADD. She is frustrated about it all. He is slow among his peers. I have not heard from her since then.

I have two DS's one will only meat, veggies and a few snacks, he does not like potatoes or bread or even cake. He is 4 and he is a giant! My other son however, is two and he hates everything except carrots, corn, mac and cheese and any junk food he can get his grubby little paws on, lol. Needless to say he is a little runt.
