**KIDS DID GREAT AT LOCAL POULTRY SHOW**

We went to a poultry show put on by a county 4H program and it was fun!! My girls just love the poultry shows and I am soooo glad they have something like this to be proud of! My older daughter got some cool placements. Her Leghorn (bantam) got best of breed and she got 1st and best variety for her d'uccle porcelian roo. My little daughter got 2nd at showmanship and just barely lost the tie breaker! Her little leghorn got reserve best and her old english crele got best variety! These events are soo much fun for me and the girls. It's great to see other chicken people too!! btw- we ended up bringing home a Guinea pig!!

That is SUPER ! 4-H is soooo good for the kids. And, bless your
heart for taking on the job of 4-H Leader ! I can tell from the
enthusiasm in your post, you're perfect for the job. These kids
learn so much more, over and above showing their poultry,
critters, etc.

We have a "sorta" leader at TJ's school, so we try to kick in
and "umpfff up" the things she comes up with. But, am glad
to say that our County 4-H FFA Agent is TOPS and has lots
of plans for the young people.
