Kids, our newest predator

They crossed the line when they started throwing rocks!

I'd be calling the police. I'd also be adding the lack of parenting they are getting and maybe (with some supporting evidence) calling social services..... that's my legal route I would take. As for the "country law" route.... I'd throw rocks at them. Where I live you could get away with that.... not everywhere is so lax, though.

I would most definately call the police though... in the very least they are trespassing.

Call the police and CPS. These kids are screwed in the head *edited by staff*
I wish you could just shoot nasty people on your property, UGH.

ok I'll edit:
I tend to see the irony in things but as a former teacher I was often in favor of retroactive birth control--many people don't deserve to be parents: Send for Social Services.

As we know the post suggesting SSS for the kids was in jest. However since it was reported, please try to remember that some don't see the irony and find it inappropriate.

I was really bothered by this post that when I saw kids throwing rocks "towards" some ducks (I think they might have hit one on the tail or almost), I actually said something about it. The mom got a bit defensive about it saying their kids were not throwing rocks at the ducks and that rock didn't hit that one (though she was distracted by talking to her friend). Right after they threw the rock, one boy told the other one "you have to get them to come very close". They were feeding them bread at the same time. The rocks were really big, too. When I heard what they said, that's when I said something to them. A lot of kids throw rocks into the lake in the general direction of the ducks (which are, sometimes, everywhere), but this was a little too close for comfort. The duck was OK and left the area later on.

Later, the mom started to constantly reminded her sons not to throw rocks in the lake (they stopped throwing them near the animals, though, so I didn't say anything). I'm glad she, at least, thought about it and decided to say something to them about it. But, it still bothered me that she immediately defended her kids for doing something they shouldn't have been doing.

These jerk kids didn't cross the line when they killed the duckling, that happened the very first time they trespassed on private property. I would have had the cops out at that time. Kids have no disipline these days and precious little or no consequences for criminal behavior. And then later on everybody wonders why and how they turned into the psychopath's that kidnap and murder and on and on. It wasn't that long ago that people got what they had coming when they committed acts like this and worse, unfortunately those days are long gone and criminals are now a protected species.

I think most teachers feel that way.

In any event, these kids are in the Jeff Dahmer training course and unless someone intervenes they are likely to go on to the Mary Bell speed killing event.

Don't assume that the parents don't understand the gravity of the situation; in some cases entire families are sociopathic or psychopathic. The McCrary family of serial killers comes to mind.
