OMG, I'd be mortified. So sorry for the loss of that precious baby. I would get the authorities involved and set up cameras.

Yes. Please call the authorities. Animal abuse is a common precursor to some of the most dreaded personality disorders later in life. Perhaps if authorities are involved, these kids can get the help they need, and the lives of animals can be spared in the process.

At the same time, do whatever you feel will keep you safe. You are living near these children, and your safety (and that of your animals) is the utmost priority.

Call the police! Those little kids should be spending time on prohbation, if not in juvy! So sorry for your loss

I think, not only would I call the Police, but I would contact Social Services. Does the name Jeffrey Dahmer ring a bell?? Serial killer who started out by killing and mutilating animals. If they are out of control at their young age, waiting a few more years, they won't get any better! So sorry you had to go through this!

Well, that doesn't look as if that is going to happen. The boys repeatedly come back so right there is a problem. Sure, kids will throw rocks at animals. I understand that......... it's mainly to see them move. Not necessarily to hurt them. I get that. What is wrong is the fact that they killed a chick and it doesn't bother them and the mother does nothing about it. No mention about the father. ME? I woudl have walked over to the house with the dead chick and explain to both parents what there kids did. Simple.

Any one hear what has happened so far???​

Decades ago, some I was with some buddies in a checkout line at a supermarket for sandwiches and chips on our way to go golfing. The woman in front of us had a 3 yr old in the cart who was raising bloody heck, to the annoyance of the folks all around. "I want this....I want that....mommy I said I WANT THAT NOW...." The mom was completely outclassed, but finally said "I said NO". The kid starts wailing at the top of his lungs. My buddy mumbled "smack him again!" The mom wheeled around, beet red in the face, and indignantly muttered "I would never strike my child" - to which a senior citizen behind us calmly said "maybe you should start" to a round of polite clapping from the crowd. The woman paid for her stuff and beat a hasty retreat out of the store.
