Kids sleeping in the front yard be prepared its sad

I cant describe how that made me feel seeing that photo and reading this. WHY in the world is this happening, WHY didnt the person that told you do anything about it? OMG I just do not understand this..... When it comes to children and their well being I will step in no matter what. You did the right thing. Thank you on behalf of those children. (I wonder if their teachers/peers know anything about this?)

Also can you call the school and tell them what you have seen? You dont have to give your name...

I too thought this was going to be about a sleeping porch or a tent in the heat of summer.
I am not sure what to think except how very very sad.

Turns out they stopped sleeping on the porch a long time back and it started up three days ago. My neighbor had taken note and got her camera in her purse to take a pic and call child welfare but I got to them first.

edited to say and I will call the school tomorrow. Glad you thought of this thank you.

I guess that is a good thing that they didnt make the kids sleep outside all winter! UGH I will never understand why some people are allowed to reproduce. Animals tend to their babies better than some humans!!

Again thank you for helping these children.

I just glanced over at my 2 girls sleeping in a huge pillow topped mattress bed, with two of the dogs, and the cat. I cant imagine my girls being outside with out me like that (one of mine will be in 4th grade this fall, and the other in preschool)

If you really want to get things stirred up, call the media in to do an investigation as to why nothing is being done about it. We had a case here of a 14 yr. old boy who had been reported as chained to his bed and starved. Nothing happened until our local television news station investigated CPS and local law enforcements lack of action. He is now out of chains, living with an aunt, and healthier, can't say healthy yet.

I think it is just a cultural difference. When I was a kid, almost everyone slept outside. We did, our neighbors did, it seemed like just about everyone did.

I live in Phoenix, and in the summer it is hotter than Hades. Now we have air conditioning and no one goes outside in the summer time if they don't have to.

Frankly, so many people have moved here from somewhere else, I would be afraid to sleep outside now.

Now the question of the kids not being in school, that is another thing. So many people home school their kids now, who is to know what the situation is.

That picture is all the proof you need.... i'd make sure to tell CPS that you have a picture of it..
Were the girls still sleeping outside when the police showed up??

Crack culture.

I don't live in the burbs... I live downtown. These people don't homeschool... the fourth grader should be in class with my neighbors kid.
