One of my daughters would panic when she started to throw up and try to turn toward me. I had to hold her head away from me to keep her from vomiting all over me. And yeah, I have been vomited on also.
My 6 year old is famous for coming into our room in the middle of the night and saying "mommy? I don't feel good" and then puking all over me and my bed and the floor beside my bed.... he had to pass the bathroom to get into my room, and just didn't even consider hurling in there... no, it had to be all in my HAIR.... yucky.
The carpet guy came the other day. He asked about the stain in the hall - should he pretreat it. I told him he could do whatever he wanted but those hotdog-vomit stains weren't going anywhere. "The baby" threw up on the hall carpet - and a wall of curtains - in 2001.
If you are child and are going to throw up in the next 24 hours do you
A. vomit in the toilet during daylight hours
B. vomit in the car, hitting the back of the seat and your sibling
C. vomit at 3 am, once in your bed, once in the hallway on the way to the bathroom and once in the bathroom on the closed toilet.
While B may be an option for some, C is generally the option chosen at my home. I don't think my kids have every had a stomach bug that started with vomiting during daylight hours. And at Grandma's last Christmas, the vomiting was done from an L-shaped bed...it hit his bed, his brothers bed, the floor, the suitcases under the bed and the clothes the kids had left on the floor. While working with the first one, the second one was put in our bed....you can guess the rest.
wow as i sit here and read i am more and more thankful that my kids are independent ..lol
my ds (he is now 12) he will go vomit and wake me when its done and before he flushes...but he will make me look at it to tell him why he was sick
my DD who is 7 will do the same
I have walked into the bathroom many mornings at 5am to get ready for work and wonder why the bathroom door wont open, just to find a kid sleeping behind it... and in most cases i get the same answer from them... it was easier to sleep on the bathroom floor...lol
