I totally understand!!!! It took me a while to admit my actual heritage cuz I always thought I was a true southie until I married one that pointed it out!!!!

It took a taste-test comparison between "Southern Fried Chicken" and "Maryland Fried Chicken," combined with one between Southern "biled" (boiled) crabs and our local Old Bay steamed blues, for me to realize that we borderliners are our own special entity.
