Have you tried dissolving a honey lemon cough drop in a cup of hot tea (or hot water) and breathing in the steam? You need to use one of the nasty Hall's type ones - the kind that are hard to keep in your mouth because they're so harsh and bitter. The steam is good for clearing the passages, and when it's cool enough to drink, it soothes everything else.

I have a rooster in a cage that thinks he is a dux...

and will be treated like one as soon as he eats his corn and fattens up..

He attacked my granddaughters this week three times.

it is a conundrum though, it’s my best looking Dominique, I planned to show him, but my spouse thinks I should stop showing and raising birds,, so maybe it’s for the best.
