I would be far more likely to use my Remington 700 BDL in .243 with 60 grain hollow points for that situation.

I have been in Wyoming for 49 years and amazingly have never shot a coyote.

I don't really care for cheese on my ham sandwich. I also don't particularly care for beer. Rum or brandy is a different story.
