Kindergarten Piggies! Pics**

They are definitely most likely pregnant....But the babies are some of the cutest things around, and if you are wanting guinea pigs anyway, it doesn't sound like a bad thing at all! Those piggies are very pretty and i'm sure they will love being classroom pets! I must say, when I was younger I had quite a few litters of guinea pigs, and only ever had problems once. I was guilty of being the child who told my parents after putting my male and female together "well they were lonelyyyy" My female, Oreo, had a few litters (once with 6!!!) and the time that there were problems (her last litter, we kept both female and male babies to keep Oreo and her beau, Frosty, company) I was old enough to know better, and hadn't wanted her to get pregnant. She had a litter of 3 (i think) and only two survived, and one of them had some developmental issues...no problems with any of the other litters, she usually had them overnight, and I would wake to cute little babies scampering around the pen. I miss my piggies!

WOW! I just received an email back from the previous owner and she said there is NO way either one could be pregnant! She said they were housed separately and never allowed out together!

I am so happy!! I was worried for them! But now I get to start looking for our own piggy babies!!

I have to say that baby piggies are some of the cutest baby animals there are. We bought two girls when our boys were younger without knowing that one was pregnant. We had no idea until one day she started giving birth! The babies looked just like tiny adults, completely adorable! The only thing I don't miss about piggies is the smell, cleaning their cage enough to keep the smell at bay was difficult. They were adorable and fun to have though.

I am hoping to get some baby piggies soon for my family! DH has always wanted them ever since he was little and was never allowed to get them. I did have guinea pigs, my favorites being my 2 Peruvians! I won't get them again (their hair is a lot of work), but I think I would like the Abyssinians! I love their wild hair do's!

I am quite sad to be parting with Daisy and Nibbles...especially Nibbles. Her and I are buddies now. They go to school tomorrow!

I am happy for the class, sad that they won't be here.

Are Abyssinians the ones that look like they have Mohawks? If so, then that's what DD has. We weren't sure what they were called. Cinderella has longer hair than yours and a definite Mohawk 'do!

I'm happy, because if she's preggers than I already found a home for one!

We took Cinderella to the vet, who doesn't think she's preggers. Just fat from the crummy diet she had at the shelter, maybe.
My DD is heart-broken. She was really hoping for little piggies.

at least you have a sweet girl! Its actually a good thing she inst pregnant as you never know, most go well but there is always that chance that something can go wrong and you loose momma or babies or both. especially in an animal that you have no idea of their background and genetic health history. Just make sure to get her on the proper diet and exercise so she can get her healthy figure back its easy for pigs to get a bit pudgy on those fiesta pet store mixes with all the junk in them!

At some point you could think about finding a baby girl to be her buddy as piggies do so well with a same sex companion and really enjoy the company.
