I've always really wanted a cat but I'm allergic. My parents still think they're taking a risk when I told them about hypoallergenic cat breeds

We have a Siberian and have had people with severe cat allergies come to our house & not be bothered by her! Of course each person is different, but worth looking into!

This is Gemma, named after the matriarch in Sons of Anarchy. She’s definitely the boss & spoiled rotten!

Kitty number one: Chalmers. Got him from the pound about four years ago. He's about ten now and real lover of routine and order. Has to sit on the same lap at the same time every day or he just kinda panics. He also has a jealous side. Always worried that the other kitty is getting "more".
He's never once scratched us. Not even on accident or when treating a wound.
VERY talkative. You can have a full blown conversation with this one.
He loves to eat bunnies. He can't catch birds.
Extremely gentle and sweet unless he has to poop... then, he goes rampaging around the house knocking things off counters until he's kicked out.

Funny cat story:
Back in June or July, one of the "barn cats" from my sisters place disappeared. " " because this one didn't care for barn life and particularly liked when my son and I would visit as we were always accommodated her need for constant attention (and she even got to come in n the house).
Anyway, Cammi disappeared....
A week ago, i got this text:

They heard a meow at the front window, looked out and the sat Cammi. They opened the front door and she walked in le it was no big deal. On seeing the picture my sister sent me, I commented she looked quite fat & sassy and said she must have spent the summer with someone.....
Three days after her return, this was posted on the local fb page where they live:

She spent the whole time as a house pet, being loved on by three little girls....my sister messaged them, explained what had happened and then asked if they'd like to come get her....they did...happy ending

Kitty number two: RangerDanger or Pooski. Pound cat that I got when I was in college many, many moons ago. He is at least 16 years old.
He's moved with me a couple times and is everyone's favorite critter, and with good reason. He's not much of a cat. I'm pretty sure someone nuked him for a few seconds as a kitten or something. He's a perfect 10 and I know there will never be another like him. He loves dogs, other cats, pigs, all people and is too friendly for his own good (survived a coyote attack this year - pic below). Other than a little scar on his nose, he's back to normal. Walked right up to cuddle my parent's German Shepherd. He learned nothing.
I never saw him hunt until we moved to a more rural setting. He brought me a bunny on my birthday. That was the one and only time. Otherwise, he pretty much enjoys himself wherever he happens to be sleeping. He's pretty clumsy and not very good at jumping. His only catlike reflex is his insane need to slap at anything dangling in front of him. Dead asleep? Doesn't matter. He'll get it.

I have 3 yo brother and sister, I"m so glad to have two! My sister found them for me, they were dumped at her friends house. They sleep hugging each other.

Based on my experience with cats over the years, I'd have to say I prefer males. The ones I've had have been more affectionate.

Of course, when you get 2 boys together, be prepared for them to act just like brothers (human brothers)...

I got 3 cats first one is tucker he’s 6 the second one is bayle he’s 2and the third one is jinx’s he’s 4 month. The last pic is jasper my very first cat he was killed by a car he was 7

This is Pussy, she's 17 flippin years old. I got her at a bar in Georgia. She is scared to go outside and hates pretty much everything. She's asleep beside me on the sofa snoring louder than I ever could at this very moment.
