The cats have ripped their presents open and had a catnip mouse induced brawl on the living room floor and are passed out, I don't think we'll have a round two this year as the boys are getting too old for that.

Two of mine have been enjoying the paper and bags! One even started before we did...DH had put a gift bag with several sheets of tissue paper sticking out next to the tree for me. When I walked through the living room, I did a double take, and there was Bam Bam sitting on the nest of tissue paper he had made on the recliner.

I know this thread is oldish but want to reply to a few things so I don’t have to stay up till 4am lol on page 11 and otherwise, I will keep reading the entire thing tonight.

My oldest son had a Persian for about 15 years. Great cat (even though he thought he was only DS's cat). That guy always knew when DS was due home from school and would wait by the door for him. Beautiful guy too, but all that fluffy hair took a lot of brushing!

It wasn't so much we didn't like doing it as it was the cat did not like it Cats are hard to argue with.

Luna hates being brushed. That’s why I’ve now had her shaved two years in a row. First year, she was pretty matted and had to be shaved and they said she would likely keep getting matted so shaved her again this year. Although we also stopped letting her outside which helped, she would get pine sap and burrs in her fur and mat.

That's my Opie...sometimes I call him Speed Bump. Likes to lay right in the middle of doorways and you have to step over him.

LOL mine likes zip past me as I walk by, usually in front of me, and almost cause me to trip lol I usually don’t see her and then WHAM! Comes out of nowhere. Fly by. And I almost fall. And usually she ends up hitting my foot/leg in the process. I always feel bad for “kicking” but she doesn’t seem to notice and besides, that’s what happens when you choose to run right in front of my feet.
