Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

I have a Mainecoon cross who requires brushing. It is a constant battle usually ends in me bleeding. He hates it!
Aww. That’s unfortunate but he probably looks beautiful once he’s all brushed! The only problem I have with McFluffington is her attitude! She gets moody a lot. My two tortoiseshell cats seem to have much more of an attitude than all the others. “Tortitude” is definitely a real thing! :lau

Floki is an absolute love, he follows me around talking, watches me from windows & scolds me when I come inside. Until he sees that brush. The eyes go black and the bobcat claws come out! His sister is half his size, medium coat and loves being brushed. Now she is the diva! My two black & whites and Blue Russian go with the flow. They also love to be brushed but are all short haired.

It’s funny that all the others except him enjoy being brushed! What color is Floki? He sounds delightful (except for when you get the brush out 🤭) I would love to see a picture!

Diva! Love it! My mallard hen acts like a drama queen so hubby started calling her DQ for short. She overreacts and yells at everyone over the slightest thing. :lau

I was hoping I'd have 3 drakes so I could name them Huey, Dewey & Louie. If my pekings are a pair I will name them Donald & Daisy. I need a black drake to name Daffy, but it appears I will have to name one of my Cayugas or Magpies Daffy if they turn out to be a drake.
If one of the leghorns is a roo hubby has already informed me his name will be Foghorn, no discussions about it. :lau
:lau that’s amazing!!! Love all the names! My dad calls our Leghorn The Colonel lol

My sainthood was when my eldest talked me into driving "A friend home" after practice and 8 stinky football players were "A friend" We totally broke the law and they all piled into my F150 supercab truck. With two dogs. I drove with my head out the window gasping for air. :lau :sick

Yes, I currently have 5 horses. 2 dogs & 5 cats. :D
Ohhhhhh boyyyyyyy!!!! :th :sick :bow

And oh wow you have lot of animals!!! I would love horses but not feasible atm. I do have a cat though and of course the fish, budgies, and chickens, which are awesome, but I want a dog. Used to have one but lost him almost a little over a year ago. I can visit my brother’s 3 dogs but not quite the same.

I used to think Luna was a Norwegian Forest Cat lol she looked just like one when little (at least one picture I saw of one) and loved playing with water. She was tiny but we had read they were related to Maine coons and could take up to 4 or 5 years to grow so we were super excited. Yeah..... no. 😂 she is a runt or something LOL

And she also HATES being brushed. Idk why.

She is a lover though and won’t use her claws. Just yells a lot. :lau she has to be held still to brush her. And she will be okay at first but still mad but then she starts yelling and will get progressively louder and louder and will eventually try to back away or wiggle away and if none of that works, she will slap you or bite and eventually claws. But all of those are last resorts. Usually when she starts getting antsy and wiggly, I just let her go to avoid injury to myself. :lau
