Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

Oh he is a total turd when the brush comes out! They were not planned additions to the family. My friend knew I had wanted another orange cat since 2004 when I lost my last one. She made it her mission to find me one. Well you can't have just one! She called me and told me she found two and was bringing them home. One was not in very good shape but she couldn't leave them there. They were in a rabbit hutch in 105 degree temp. So we took them, Floki was very weak and his breathing was labored. The vet said he had a 50/50 chance. I honestly expected to lose him the first night. But he pulled through and now he is a toad. He is nearly 26 pounds of cat. Gorgeous boy!! I’m a sucker for long haired cats.. we have four cats.. this is Pippin... he is a Ragdoll and never needs brushing! Their fur is amazing!

Pippen is beautiful! He has gorgeous blue eyes! Boy, I wish Floki had hair like that! I always wanted a long haired cat, but after Floki, I don't know if I want another one. He sheds like a mad man. Thankfully all my kitties are indoor only. I'd hate to see what he would get in that coat of his!

Pippen is beautiful! He has gorgeous blue eyes! Boy, I wish Floki had hair like that! I always wanted a long haired cat, but after Floki, I don't know if I want another one. He sheds like a mad man. Thankfully all my kitties are indoor only. I'd hate to see what he would get in that coat of his!

Thank you! All mine are indoor as well... Ragdoll fur is like bunny fur.. and he doesn’t shed much! They are amazing cats! We adore him! But we love em all of course! Here’s the crew a few months ago.. I’ll try and get a pic of Prissy.. I shaved her as she sheds a lot! Sorry to those who have seen these pics before!

Aww! Adorable! What beautiful kitties! Floki is gorgeous! So are Kenzie and Luna! What an interesting story. I’m glad that Floki pulled through!

Wow you have some beautiful Siamese kitties! I love the picture of them all sitting on the rocking chair! I have one Siamese and I just love when it follows me around the house and meows very loud!

So glad he made it!!! He is so handsome! His sister is pretty too.

We are a whacky bunch! All the animals have names & at least two nicknames that they all respond too. My hubby started calling me mama hen yesterday because the chicks were following me around and jockeying for position for attention. The horses nicker when I come out of the house, my dog can't even let me go to the bathroom alone, well neither can the damn cat.



I'm sorry to hear about your dog! It is so hard when we lose them. My Jessie Mae is 10 & Nova is 12. I wish they were still pups!
We seem to collect animals. Most of them are rescues.

that’s awesome!! I am similar. All my chickens come running when they see me lol the cat usually comes running over if she’s nearby. Even the budgies and the fish greet me when I come over the fish literally swims over lol

Luna doesn’t usually follow me to the bathroom but occasionally she does. The other day I left the door open and she came in and sat down and wanted to be petted

Gator was only 6 1/2.

That’s awesome!! I love rescues. most of my current ones atm aren’t but I do love them! Think of adopting a dog.

Trade ya! Floki starts with claws, then complains, then starts biting, hissing & growling! I knew he was going to be a long hair so I started brushing him when he had recovered fully at about 8 weeks. He hated it then!

OMG! Lol yesterday Luna was in a bad mood and I made the mistake of trying to brush her... her yelling quickly turned to full on hissing and arched back and trying to wriggle free and/or claw me while doing it didn’t help I kept going cause she has sooooooo much loose hair right now I wanted to get out lol I finally gave up and decided not to stress her out more or get bit and clawed to death

I didn’t start her when she was young but she probably would have been fine if I had cause she used to not hate it so much then decided she did

We had ping pong ball size hail yesterday afternoon. I thought windows were going to break!

OMG!!! Scary!! We just had a ton of rain and very strong winds but didn’t lose power. Not sure yet if we lost any trees.

Luna sheds like crazy too!!! I swear she sheds worse than the dog when we had him Luna used to go outside occasionally but we don’t really let her anymore and I’m glad because she used to get pine sap and burrs in that coat and get all matted.
