Knit, crochet, or sew?

Three shetland, one Gotland/Finn/Shetland and one Romney/Icelandic/CVM
Their fleeces are all unique, but mostly fall into the "medium wool" category for fineness. I like having a variety of natural colors and differenet textures to play with
How lovely! Love heritage breeds! I grew up on a large sheep farm in Oz - that was mainly Merinos! I'd love to run a few sheep but just don't have the land (only have 3/4 of an acre).

Haha! You know, I often wonder about things similar to that. Like let's say an EMP goes off and the entire US is now thrown back to doing everything without electricity. A lot of jobs would be pointless and you would probably have to learn a trade or craft to live.

Or what if time travel were real and something happened to throw you back in time hundreds of years ago. How would you survive? For myself I don't really have much to offer, lol. I know one sewing stitch and I can do single or double crochet but I haven't learned anything else because I haven't needed to for the stuff I've made.
But that's more than a lot of folks know when it comes to crochet and sewing!
If people needed to learn skills, they would benefit from all levels of expertise! I would have to learn how to knit. It just looks so intimidating to me.
But crochet-that always relaxes me. Since I started crocheting about 6 or 7 years ago, my blood pressure has gone down a lot. Doc had to lower my meds.
So it's definitely good to have hobbies!
